Just Curious...

Posted by Random-Her03 - April 30th, 2008

I set all my flashes at 30 fps (frames per second) and it plays slower on the site...
does it play in 30 fps for you guys, or is it slower on your computers too?
if it is slower does anybody know what the problem is and how to fix it?

thanks guys

You cannot fix it, all flash that runs in any internet browser slows at a 25% when playing...
The only way to fix it is by setting the fps a little higher, around from 35 to 40 fps.

oh ok
thanx alot man!

OKie doke
the prob is fixed the flashes play faster now! :D

wayne's world sprite movie!?!?

lol just a little bit

hey mate glad you liked skittles n dickz!

Actually, the flash runs at a slower FPS only if you use event sounds exclusively or no sound at all. Streaming your sounds forces the video to keep pace with the audio. You don't have to stream all of your sounds, mind you, just a music track or something. You can even stream a long patch of dead silence just to keep pace. As long as your stream sound is controlling the speed, your other event sounds will fall in line perfectly.

However, there are size issues to contend with. You may not be able to stream all of your sounds, meaning that you have to choose which parts of your film play at the correct speed and which do not.

...leaned that the hard way.

wow dude u seem to know a whole heap about flash!
well i'm glad i've alligned myself with the right ppl
thanx for the help man!

Actually, I wouldn't know any of that if I hadn't looked into pigeonmaster88's advice to you on streaming. Without that bit of information, my flash would have been a horribly out-of-sync disaster.
